WHO ARE WE?

Members of ARCS Foundation San Diego are women philanthropists committed to advancing science in America.  Women who join our Chapter do so to contribute to the support of outstanding graduate students in STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) and biomedicine at four partner institutions:  San Diego State University, Scripps Research, UC San Diego, University of San Diego.  

ARCS Foundation San Diego is one of 15 ARCS Foundation Chapters nationwide. WHY BECOME A MEMBER?

• Lifelong Learning:  Attend lectures, lab tours and field trips to learn about cutting-edge science research and technology in San Diego. 
• Networking:  Meet and mingle with ARCS members, Scholars, local scientists and university faculty.
• Connection & Belonging: Develop friendships with like-minded women, who are passionate about science.
• Creating a Lasting Legacy:  Support the next generation of scientists, engineers and medical researchers through volunteerism and philanthropy.

MEMBERSHIP PROCESS

Women interested in joining ARCS Foundation San Diego must attend two meetings or events to become familiar with the organization and be sponsored by two active members.

MEMBERSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES

• Pay annual membership dues of $400
• Attend new member orientation
• Attend two membership events per year (Annual or General Membership Meetings, Field Trips, and other official ARCS events)
• Purchase one ticket to annual fundraising event
• Contribute to annual ‘Scholar Fund Member Giving’ campaign
• Serve actively on at least one committee, event or special project
